At this gathering, our focus is both urgent and deeply biblical: Pray It Forward.
This is more than a theme. It is a call to a lifestyle of consistent, fervent prayer, not only for us, but for one another.
In a time where individualism runs high and spiritual endurance runs low, God is summoning His people back to the place of shared burden, shared faith, and shared breakthrough through prayer.
James writes,
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
(James 5:16).
This is the foundation of our focus. Prayer is not passive it is powerful, productive, and necessary for healing, deliverance, and transformation.
Why “Pray It Forward”?
• To pray it forward is to refuse a self-centered prayer life.
• It is choosing intercession over isolation.
• It is carrying the burdens of others before God.
• It is making prayer a continual practice, not an occasional response.
Too many believers want breakthrough without burden. But scripture teaches that healing and power are often released in the context of shared prayer.
Galatians 6:2 instructs us to “Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Praying it forward is how we live that out spiritually.
The Discipline of Consistent Prayer
Prayer is not an event; it is a rhythm.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 commands us to “Pray without ceasing.”
Luke 18:1 reminds us that “men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”
A weak prayer life leads to spiritual fatigue.
But a consistent prayer life produces strength, clarity, and endurance.
To pray it forward means we develop a disciplined life of prayer not only when we are in crisis, but as a daily posture of dependence on God.
The Power of Fervent Intercession
James does not describe casual prayer; he describes effectual fervent prayer.
That kind of prayer is intentional, passionate, and persistent.
It is prayer that presses beyond routine and reaches into spiritual authority.
Jeremiah 33:3 declares,
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things,
which thou knowest not.”
Prayer connects us directly to God’s power, wisdom, grace, and mercy.
And when we intercede for others, we become vessels through which that power flows.
What This Means for Us
This focus calls us to intentionally give ourselves to:
• consistent prayer
• fervent intercession
• communal accountability in prayer
• spiritual endurance
• bearing one another’s burdens
• boldly approaching God for ourselves and others
We are moving beyond private devotion into shared spiritual responsibility.
God is calling us to become a praying community one that does not just speak about needs but brings those needs before the throne of grace with faith and expectation.
Our Scriptural Foundation
Our Mandate
• pray consistently
• intercede boldly
• carry others in prayer
• expect God to move
We are not just praying for ourselves we are “PRAYING IT FORWARD.”
